listening reflection

About the listening work in this assignment, they are really good practice for me. The contents are also useful, such as: how to take notes in class, how to speak so people want to listen to you and so on. These work can improve my listening skills and the speed of reaction, can help me to communicate with others better. I think the hardest one is the millennium park project. Firstly, it doesn’t have video, that’s boring! I don’t want to listen anymore. Secondly, those artists’ name are hard to spell, so when I was thinking how to express to names, the radio was gone... Thirdly, those artists’ words are hard to recognize. Also, the project is fun, we had good time during the project. About the Ted Talk, they are interesting and useful, because these are real speech, they have attention getter, and the content are vivid. In all these assignments, I like ted talk most. For those class note, it required to pick up the key words, it needs more skills. It can help me listen carefully and provide something that I can review. I think if I want to improve my listening skills I need to do these things: learn to pick up the key words and create your own note taking skills. Because you can’t catch up every single word of the speaker. Then, practice makes perfect. Roman isn’t built in one day, knowledge and skills need us to accumulate, we need to be patient. All in all, these assignments not just easy as they look, not just listen something and take notes. We need more practice and even one video needs us to listen three to five times. I hope I can be more patient and hardworking.
